Murphy’s Law Applied to the Sleep of Parents of Young Children

Murphy’s Law Applied to the Sleep of Parents of Young Children: for every hour too late a parent goes to bed, their child(ren) will make them lose sleep during the night for an extra hour. That is, if you go to bed at midnight instead of (say) 23:00, your child(ren) will on average wake you up for an extra hour during the night.

Exceptions to this rule should be contemplated with utmost gratefulness.
