When the air is cold, 95% of the discomfort of dipping is coming out of the sea. And of this discomfort, 95% is felt on my toes.
So fully 90% of the discomfort of cold water dipping can be treated if you don’t freeze your toes when you come out.
The least fancy way to address this is to:
- Take off your socks and shoes last before going into the sea.
- As soon as you come back out, the very first thing to do is to put on pants, socks and shoes. Leave the torso for last.
